Bath Time

Since I can only stay upstairs while on bed rest, I can at least hang out in the bathroom a little bit. Andrew has had so much fun with this spray bottle. It's the new bath time favorite. But you have to watch out or you might get sprayed!

Bed rest

I went for my bi-weekly ultrasound today and found out that I have made some changes...to the point that I was prepared for-bed rest. Just to be cautious, I was sent to triage for monitoring, where they found out that I was having regular contractions every 4 minutes. So I was admitted to labor and delivery, where I was given magnesium sulfate to stop labor. I stayed for 4 days and then was able to go home to strict bed rest. So....there probably won't be too many pictures to post for a while. We'll try.

Making Valentine's

We started getting ready for Valentine's day this weekend. I cut a ton of hearts out for Andrew to decorate for his friends at school. He put stickers on some of the hearts, but he really loved using the glue stick! He has obviously practiced with the glue stick at school because he knew just what to do with it! This was our first big art project on his new table that he got from grandma and grandpa for his birthday!

Birthday Party

Andrew turns 2 on Monday, February 1st! We celebrated his birthday by having a few friends and family over for a little puppy party! The invitations that we sent out had a dog on them...so we decided to go with it for the theme. We had doggie bone cookies, puppy chow and dog plates! Of course doggie party favors too!

At the party we only opened presents from those who attended....it took long enough to do that! The bubble machine was a hit and I highly recommend it-but you will need to stock up on bubbles!

Hands on Museum in Ann Arbor

We had the day off for report writing...I finished mine so Andrew and I could spend the morning at the Hands on Museum in Ann Arbor. We went with Mary & Matt and we had a great time! There were so many things to do...Andrew loved it all and we can't wait to go back!

Overdue Haircut

Andrew was well overdue for a haircut. This was his third cut. The first one went great, second not so good and this one was awesome. We went to Brian's barbershop and he sat for the entire time in the booster. They don't really use the buzzer (as we call it)....all scissors. So it took a while. After momma and daddy got sprayed with the water bottle a few times, there were some smiles. He also thought the little razor at the end tickled, so he laughed at that. I wish I would have taken a few more shots...but I was in charge of keeping him happy and on the seat!

Daddy's Birthday

Today was Brian's birthday.....so time to get the Birthday glasses out! While we were eating dinner, I quickly popped a funfetti cake into the oven. Brian finished up Andrew's bath while I slapped some frosting on and then we ate cake! Probably not the best thing to do right before bed....but it was a Monday night! Andrew LOVED celebrating Brian's birthday! He thought blowing the candle out was the best thing ever! It was the candle we had from Andrew's birthday last year. I told Brian it was for the #1 daddy! We had to light it and re-light it quite a few times so Andrew could blow it out! Happy Birthday daddy, you're the best!

Andrew loves to get daddy's hat and say "get me daddy!" He does circles around the dining room table! I think it's funny how he wears it and runs like crazy. He even tries to get Wrigley to chase him!

We had a lot of snow while we were home for the holidays! But it was really, really cold! So I think it took longer to get all of the gear on, than it did to sled!
