Happy New Year

We went to our friends for New Year's Eve. We made it to midnight...transferred Andrew to the car while sleeping, only to have him wake up when we placed him in the crib! He was up til 2:30...a tired day for us followed, not for Andrew.

Christmas at Great Grandma Ruth's

We had a great time visiting with family at my grandma Ruth's house. And my cousin announced that she is pregnant, which was the highlight of the day!

Andrew woke up a little fussy and all of a sudden he was quiet. I looked over, to find my dad giving him peppermint ice cream, much to my dismay. We decided vanilla would be better...and it would feel good on those gums! He loved it!

We had a great time at the Hull's on Christmas eve....here is Andrew opening some of his gifts.Andrew's cousins got him a singing stage....he LOVES it! He also tries to pick it up and climb on it!

Best Friends

Andrew and Wrigley have become great friends...especially since Andrew has started to eat more food at the table. Occasionally we have caught Andrew sticking his hand over the side...I think to pet the dog, but instead, Wrigley loves to catch the falling food! So Wrigley has a new favorite spot in the dining room! And Andrew has been fascinated with the dog!

We let Wrigley get on the bed in the spare room and Andrew thought it was just the greatest thing ever! He was so excited to play with the dog. It's true love. Every boy needs a dog, as my mom would say.

Hello Santa

We went to a holiday party and shortly after we arrived...Santa came. He had a sack full of presents and his 'good' book. Andrew's name was in Santa's 'good' book and he had a present too! At first he wasn't sure of Santa, then he cried a little and then he stared at him a little more. Of course it was beyond bedtime so that didn't help!

Big Boy Car Seat

We finally got Andrew's big boy car seat...he was almost long overdue. We waited because it has been so convenient to buckle him up in the house, throw a blanket over him and put him in the car. Now it takes a little longer...but he really likes his new seat. I think he can see out of the windows better. He tested it out in the living room before Brian installed it in the car.

Cutting down the tree!

Our family tradition to cut down a tree after Thanksgiving....this year Brian, Andrew and I cut one down to bring back to Royal Oak. We took a horse drawn ride out to the fields...a little snowy. It was such a nice day that the snow was starting to melt and things were getting pretty muddy! It took us a while to find the perfect tree....long enough for Andrew to fall fast asleep, as you can see him starting to in the picture!

Thanksgiving

We went to my grandma's for Thanksgiving and I am so thankful that we were able to share such a wonderful day with family. Andrew got a new winter hat from grandma...he did eventually figure out how to pull on the scarf, which covered his face and made him mad!
