Chopping Down the Tree

We had a perfect day to go get our Christmas tree! I overheard someone saying that they thought it was a better day than when they were picking apples and getting their pumpkins! I have to say it was about the same...but it was nice and sunny to say the least! Andrew loved riding the horse drawn carriage out to the field! He loved their "jingle bells." He even got to pet Jane after we got off. They were beautiful clydesdales hard at work! I felt bad for all of the trips they would have to make that weekend.

Andrew watching the clydesdales on the way out...

This one is so sunny but you can kind of see how big of a smile he has! He loved the saw!

"Me do it."

Thanksgiving Day

This year, we spent Thanksgiving Day at my grandma's house. We had a great day! We finally met my cousin Jessica's baby, so cute! Andrew didn't take a nap...he was too busy chasing my cousin Allison around. He passed out on the way home and I thought he would never go to bed that night....he requested bed time himself that night!!!

I tried to re-create last years pic in front of the fireplace.

Giving baby Jackson a kiss!

So sweet to the baby.

Finally ice cream before heading home. Notice the pants are gone...at this point there wasn't a point in arguing!!! He was a champ without a nap!

Thanksgiving Vacation-Zoo Trip

A much needed week off for Thanksgiving...finally here! On Monday, we headed to the zoo with Matt and Mary. I only took these two pics (not good) in the gorilla house. We were the only ones there and all of the chimps/gorillas were inside. It was so fun to watch the baby being passed around!

It's hard to see but Andrew was watching the baby and momma!

Royal Oak Holiday Parade

We went to the Royal Oak Holiday Parade and Andrew had this look on his face almost the entire time! These were at the beginning when the fire trucks and police cars were coming. He loves them...although his face may show otherwise. I think he was in awe of the entire thing. He couldn't stop talking about everything he saw at the parade. My highlight was when the Marine Corp came by...all of a sudden all of the kids sitting by us, stood up and walked out to hand all of the men their toys for tots. It was amazing. Tons of kids participated!
